Dr. Richard Kennedy
A Cincinnati native, Dr. Kennedy received his Bachelor’s Degree in biology from Westminster College located in Missouri. He then went on to attend The University of Louisville Dental School. There he graduated with honors with a degree of Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
Upon completion of Dental School, he became a dental resident at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where he was given a CP fellowship. He completed his residency at CHMC in 1980. In that same year, he went on to open a dental practice in Fairfield and later expanded to Oxford Ohio. Dr. Kennedy serves on staff at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where he performs outpatient dental surgeries.
Along the way, Dr. Kennedy served as the president of the Division of Pediatric Dentistry at Children’s Hospital and he has also been the president of the Keeley Dental Society. Presently, he is an honored Diplomat of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and an active member of the Butler County Keeley Dental Society in Goshen, Ohio. He is also active in The Give Kids a Smile Program.
In his private pediatric dental practice, Dr. Kennedy and his friendly staff provide dental care to the younger members of his ‘family’, utilizing the latest information, technology and tools. When Dr. Kennedy isn’t fighting “tooth bugs”, he hits the ice, playing and coaching hockey.
Dr. Bradley Skelton
Dr. Bradley Skelton joins us from Toledo, OH where he grew up with his parents and three sisters. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Miami University (OH) in Chemistry. He then went on to attend the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry where he graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD), graduating with Distinction. While in dental school Dr. Skelton received the Outstanding Leadership Development Scholarship, ADA/Dentsply Student Research Award, American College of Dentists Student Leadership Award, Academic Excellence Scholarship and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Pre-Doctoral Merit Award.
Following dental school, Dr. Skelton then went on to complete his residency training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. During his time at Children’s, he conducted a research study on the burdens of sedation on children and their families, served time as chief resident, and received advanced training in both dental trauma and in treating children with special healthcare needs. In addition to joining our practice, Dr. Skelton will be spending time serving as a clinical instructor for the residency program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Outside of his love for pediatric dentistry and building a trusting relationship with every patient and family, Dr. Skelton enjoys spending time with his wife, Nicki (a Cincinnati native), and their two dogs – Piper and Forest. The Skelton’s enjoy spending time with friends and family, at Cincinnati sporting events, and outdoors – as much as Cincinnati weather will allow. Dr. Skelton is very excited about joining Dr. Kennedy and the practice.
