Scheduling and Appointments
At Chew Chew Junction, we attempt to schedule your child’s appointment at a time that is convenient for both of you. We recommend scheduling a morning appointment if possible. Children are the most cooperative when they have had a good night’s sleep and haven’t had to face the challenges of the day yet. If your child is in school, we are happy to provide proof of the appointment to excuse his or her absence.
After your child’s first appointment with us, we recommend scheduling an appointment every six months. We also advise you to contact your insurance company prior to scheduling the appointment. Most insurance carriers cover two preventative dental appointments per year, but others have different benefits. We mail a postcard to your home one month prior to your scheduled appointment. Please contact our office to confirm or cancel the appointment as soon as possible.
Appointments for Dental Treatments
If your child needs a cavity filled or another dental treatment, we typically schedule these appointments in the morning. You may give your child a light meal prior to treatment, and it is fine to return to school afterward. Please bring your insurance card to the appointment since we need the information to calculate any payment due.
When Our Office Runs Late
Since all of our patients are children, we frequently have to respond to unanticipated problems and behavior. We ask you to remain patient as we give each child the care that he or she deserve.
When You’re Running Late
Chew Chew Junctions understands that circumstances beyond your control could make you late for your appointment. We just ask that you let us know that you are going to be delayed as soon as possible. We make every attempt to hold your appointment time, but our dental receptionist may have to reschedule it if you are more than 10 minutes late.
If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please notify us 24 hours in advance. We are happy to reschedule the appointment with appropriate notice.
